Obituary of Lisa Kay Manning May 7, 1961 - December 29, 2024

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and sister, Lisa Kay Manning. Lisa, 63, passed away on December 29, 2024, in Kirbyville, Texas. She was born on May 7, 1961, in Port Arthur, Texas, to Joan and Charles Burgin.


Lisa was a devoted mother to her three daughters, and a loving grandmother to her 10 cherished grandchildren:


She was preceded in death by her parents, Joan and Charles Burgin, and her great-grandmother, Lenora Hamilton.


She is survived by her daughters, Alissa Woods, Leann Collins, Kristina Manning and her grandchildren, Ayden Woods, Jayvain Nelson, Keivyn Nelson, Keyonia Nelson, Alasia Nelson, Azaria Nelson, Legend Nelson, Nevaeh Nelson, Ryder Stephenson, and Charlee Omega Kay Simpson. and her brothers: Ricky Bertrand, Randy Bertrand, and John Burgin.


Lisa was a dedicated member of Gateway Tabernacle in Kirbyville, where she surrendered her life to Jesus on July 14, 2024. Her faith in God was unwavering, and she spent her life in service to others, especially her daughters, whom she raised with endless love, care, and devotion.


Though our hearts ache at her loss, we rejoice knowing that Lisa is now dancing with Jesus, her soul at peace and her spirit free. May we all remember her as she was kind, selfless, and full of love.


Lisa lived her life as a testament to her faith and love for others. We invite all who knew and loved her to join us in celebrating her beautiful legacy.


Funeral service will be 2 pm, Friday, January 3, 2025 at Gateway Tabernacle in Kirbyville with burial at Kirbyville Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 1 pm prior to service.


All are invited to join a celebration luncheon following the graveside service at Gateway Tabernacle to honor Lisa's life.
