Obituary of Jo F. McCaskill May 10, 1939 - March 7, 2025

Jo F. McCaskill, 85, of Lufkin, Texas passed away Friday, March 7, 2025 in Lufkin, Texas.

Graveside service will be held 2 P.M. Sunday, March 9, 2025 at Treadwell Cemetery in Huntington, Texas. Officiating will be Cary Modisette. Family members will serve as pallbearers.

Jo was born May 10, 1939 to Lloyd Martin Forrest and Zula Lola Fancher in Huntington, Texas. She had lived in Lufkin for 30 years and was a homemaker. Jo was a member of the Baptist faith. She was a great cook, and she loved dancing, country music, and being with family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles T. McCaskill; son, Lloyd Shane Fussell; father and mother, Lloyd and Zula Forrest; brothers, A.J. Forrest and R.B. Forrest; and sisters, Imogene Selman and Doris Grimes.

She is survived by her sons, Clyde and wife, Joy of Zavalla, Mark Luckey of South Houston, and Mike Luckey and wife, Lisa of Lufkin; daughter, Lynn F. Caras and husband, Steve of Kingwood; sisters, Yvonne Pinner and June Williford, both of Lufkin.

Services are under the direction of Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home in Woodville, Texas.
