Doyle passed away on Monday, November 4, 2024 at his home in Woodville, Texas surrounded by his loving family.
Doyle was saved on March 22, 1981 and followed the Lord into the ministry on February 25, 1987 at Bayshore Baptist Church in Channelview, Texas. He was never happier than to be used by the Lord. He preached faithfully even during the times his health was challenging. He would always give God all the praise for the souls that were saved and the lives that turned back to God during his ministry.
Doyle was married to Sheryl for 52 years and he always said that marriage takes three – to always include the Lord. He was a carpenter by trade. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He enjoyed beating everyone in dominos. He was a diligent and faithful supporter for his family. He appreciated the Tuesday night Preachers Prayer Meetings he attended and loved the other preachers in attendance.
Doyle is survived by his wife, Sheryl Butcher; daughter, Kristy Matthews and husband Ray Matthews; sister-in-law, Paula Warren and husband David Warren; grandchildren, Bryan Matthews and wife Amanda Matthews, Jared Matthews and Nathan Matthews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Otto and Mary Butcher; brother, Otto Butcher, Jr. and sister, Darlene Story.
