Obituary of James David Ogrodowicz, Sr. June 2, 1954 - November 12, 2024

James David Ogrodowicz, Sr., 70, of Leesville, Louisiana passed away Tuesday, November 12, 2024 in Leesville, Louisiana.

Visitation will be held from 4 – 6 p.m. on Sunday, November 17, 2024 at Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home Chapel in Woodville, Texas.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. on Monday, November 18, 2024 at Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Mt. Pisgah Cemetery all in Woodville. Texas. Officiating will be Brother Wayne Watts and Brother Randy Durham. Serving as pallbearers will be David James, Roy Bolding, Wayne Peninger, Clint Ward, Mike Burns, Terry Jordan, Frank Griffen, and Marion Lewis.

James was born June 2, 1954 to Theodore F. and Laverna Rebbe Ogrodowicz in Houston, Texas. A longtime resident of Woodville, he had lived in Leesville, LA for the past 4 years. He was retired sign technician from TX DOT. James enjoyed woodworking and especially enjoyed making crosses. He was a member of Trinity Assembly of God Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore and Laverna Ogrodowicz.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Chris Ogrodowicz of Leesville, LA; sons, James Ogrodowicz, Jr. and wife Joni of Livingston, TX, Jason Ogrodowicz of Livingston, TX, Charles Lilley and wife Samantha of Woodville, TX, and Daniel Ogrodowicz and wife Emmylou of Santa Fe, TX; daughters, Cynthia Rondo and husband Roger of Parrottsville, TN, Chandalyn Stark and husband Chris of Leesville, LA, Catherine Lilley and husband Lonnie of Princeton, TX, and Breanna Lester and husband Chris of Moss Bluff, LA; brother, Bill Ogrodowicz and wife Kathy of Sugar Land, TX; sister, Joann Ray and husband Don of Mt. Vernon, OH; 25 grandchildren; and 1 great grandchild.

Services are under the direction of Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home in Woodville, Texas.
