Obituary of Harry Jeff Medley March 4, 1940 - December 19, 2024

Harry Jeff Medley, 84, of Chester, passed away Thursday, December 19, 2024 in Chester, Texas.

A service in Celebration of Harry’s Life will be held at a later date.

Harry was born March 4, 1940 to Carl, Sr. Vincent and Mildred Marks Medley in Belle, West Virginia. A 1958 graduate of Texas City High School in Texas City, Texas, Harry excelled in athletics and was the quarterback for the mighty Stingrays. He held an engineering degree, which was his profession. He loved his country and was a U.S. Marines veteran. He had lived in Chester for the past 13 years and was a member of Trinity Assembly of God Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl, Sr. and Mildred Medley; 1st wife, Sandra Medley; brothers, Leo Medley, Carl, Jr. Medley, Thornton Medley, James Medley, John Medley; and sister, Helen Medley.

He is survived by his wife of 13 years, Angel Medley of Chester; his son and daughter from his first wife, Joel Christopher Medley of Lakewood, CO and Allison Wilson and husband, Doug of Aurora, CO; stepsons, Craig Coggins and wife Tiffany of Lumberton, TX and Chad Coggins and wife, Tran of Clairemore, OK; stepdaughters, Bridgette Brack and husband, Chris of Colmesneil, TX and Tina Valtierra and husband, Oscar of Woodville, TX; 7 Grandchildren, and 1 Great-Grandson.

Services are under the direction of Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home in Woodville, Texas.
