Obituary of Geneva Graham September 9, 1940 - November 8, 2024
A Celebration of Geneva Graham’s Life, age 84, of Magnolia, Texas, will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 16, 2024 at Plum Ridge Baptist Church in the Plum Ridge Community of Jasper County, Texas with burial to follow at Speir Cemetery in the Plum Ridge Community. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at the Church.
Geneva passed away on Friday, November 8, 2024 at Houston Methodist Hospital in The Woodlands, Texas surrounded by her loving family.
A native and former resident of Houston, Texas, Geneva was a resident of the Plum Ridge Community for 23 years. She spent the last year living in Magnolia, Texas with her daughter, Laurie Buckner and husband Ken. She was a member of the Plum Ridge Baptist Church. She was an accomplished seamstress, she loved music, singing, traveling with her husband on Alaska sightseeing adventures and gardening. She also volunteered for Lakes Area Hospice for 10 years with a group of “clowns” which are known as The Hope Family.
Geneva is survived by her daughters, Laurie Graham Buckner and husband Ken of Magnolia, Texas and Lisa Graham Ethridge and husband Ron of Houston, Texas; son, David Carl Graham and wife Leigh Anne Morgan Graham of Bellville, Texas; grandchildren, Taylor Buckner and wife Anna of Leander, Texas, Madison Victoria Graham of Bellville, Texas and Jackson Carl Graham of Bellville, Texas; sisters, Tricia Witt and husband Larry of Houston, Texas, Lindy Sherrod of Bauxite, Arkansas, Ruby Ramirez and husband Roger of Pearland, Texas and Sherry Childress and husband Larry of Marshall, Texas; brother-in-law, Bob Boyle of Porter, Texas and sister-in-law, Pamela Melton of Splendora, Texas.
She was preceded in death by parents, John and Sybil Melton; husband of 62 years, Don Graham; three brothers, Raymond Melton, Johnny Melton and Robert Melton and sister, Nita Boyle.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Plum Ridge Baptist Church, 1656 Plum Ridge Rd., Zavalla, Texas 75980 or Olive Branch Hospice, 2501 S. Wheeler St., Jasper, Texas 75951.
Services are under the direction of Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home of Jasper.
