Obituary of Ellen Lorrine Wilson August 14, 1944 - December 21, 2024

Ellen Lorrine Wilson, 80, of Lufkin, Texas passed away Saturday, December 21, 2024 at Parkwood in the Pines in Lufkin, Texas.

Visitation will be Monday, December 23, 2024 beginning at 9:00 A.M. until 10:00 A.M. service time at Stringer & Griffin Chapel in Woodville, Texas. Officiating will be Pastor Mark Youngblood. Serving as pallbearers will be Noah Jackson, D.J. McCoy, Chris Messer, Jacob Messer, and Jake Messer. Honorary pallbearers are Keyshon Billeaudeau and A.J. Billeaudeau.

Ellen was born August 14, 1944 to Jake Henderson Messer and Ellen Cordelia Woodward in Kountze, Texas. A native of Woodville, she was a former resident of Spurger and had resided the last five years in Lufkin. She attended school in Woodville and was a long-time homemaker, caring for her family. She enjoyed playing the piano, singing, and watching Hallmark movies. She loved sharing Christ her Savior with family and friends. She was a member of Broken Vessels Church in Lufkin.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ellen and Jake Henderson Messer; husband, Arthur Wilson; brothers, Jake Douglas Messer, Johnny Messer; and sister, Pearl Ward.

She is survived by her sons, J.C. Wilson and wife, Terri of Spurger, TX, Tim Wilson and wife, Rhonda of Brookeland, TX; daughter, Robbie Billeaudeau and husband, Frank Danny of Lufkin, TX; brothers, Tommy Messer and wife, JoAnn of Etoile, TX, Curtis Messer of Lufkin, TX, David Messer and wife, Charlotte of Chandler, TX; sister, Shirley Jenkins of Vidor, TX; a host of grandchildren; two great-grandchildren: many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Services are under the direction of Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home in Woodville, Texas.
