Obituary of Dorothy Helen Ozment February 26, 1928 - November 21, 2024

Dorothy Helen Ozment, 96, of Woodville, passed away Thursday, November 21, 2024 at Tyler County Hospital in Woodville, Texas.

Visitation will be held from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. service time on Saturday, November 30, 2024 at Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home Chapel in Woodville. Burial will follow in Mt. Pisgah Cemetery in Woodville, Texas. Serving as pallbearers will be Raymond Johnson, Colton Bednarik, John Bednarik, III, Richard Bednarik, Willie Lancon and Derek Thompson.

Dorothy was born February 26, 1928 to Willis Otis and Maudie Elisabeth Webb Ward in Jasper, Texas. She was a longtime resident of Tyler County, and a Keller Industry worker for 25 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Willis and Maudie Ward; son, Jerry Glenn Reid; daughter, Judy Kay Valentia; brothers, Bill E. Ward and Jerrell E. Ward; sister, Maude Elisabeth Lancon; granddaughter, Teresa Bednarik; grandson, John Wayne “J.R.” Reid, Jr.; and great grandsons, T.J. Smith and Richard Bednarik.

She is survived by her daughter, Emma Jean Bednarik of Woodville; son, John Wayne Reid of Woodville; 7 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren.

Services are under the direction of Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home in Woodville, Texas.
