Obituary Jerry Dale Dunn March 17, 1936 - September 20, 2024

A Celebration of Jerry Dunn’s Life, age 88, of Jasper, Texas, will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 24, 2024 at Little Hope Primitive Baptist Church in Jasper, Texas with burial to follow at Little Hope Cemetery. Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. until time of service.

Jerry passed away on Friday, September 20, 2024 at Baptist Hospital in Beaumont, Texas. Jerry was a lifelong resident of Jasper, Texas and graduated from Jasper High School in 1954. He was owner of a lawn care business in Jasper for over 25 years and a carpenter by trade. Jerry enjoyed gardening and wood working.

He is survived by his daughters, Kathy Dunn of Jasper, Texas and Debby Dunn and husband Tom McDaniel of Jasper, Texas; grandchildren, Josh Dunn, Jessia Smith and husband Neil, Jacob Dunn, Chelsey Thornton; great grandchildren, Jacy Wallace, Jordan Smith, Jesse Smith, Justin Smith and wife Kyrstin and Joanna Smith and one great great-granddaughter Ella Smith.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Georgie Dunn; wife of 64 years, Patsy Dunn; brother, Arvol Dunn and sister, Madge Stine.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, P. O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38148.

Services are under the direction of Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home of Jasper.
