Calls To Service (September 9, 2024, to September 15, 2024): The Newton County Sheriff’s Office (NCSO) answered 49 calls to service.
Jail Population: We currently have 17 inmates in the following jails;
10 housed in Newton, 3 housed in Beauregard, and 4 housed in Jasper.
Jail Transports: NCSO had 5 jail transports:
1 from NCSO to Burke Center- Lufkin, 2 from NCSO to Doctor Appointments, 1 from Mental Health- Conroe to NCSO, 1 from Burke Center- Lufkin to NCSO.
