Calls To Service (July 22, 2024, to July 28, 2024):  The Newton County Sheriff’s Office (NCSO) answered 51 calls to service.


Jail Population:   We currently have 17 inmates in the following jails;

6 housed in Newton, 7 housed in Beauregard, 1 in Orange, and 3 in Jasper.

Deweyville: 4-Wheeler Complaint, Alarm, Theft, Terroristic Threat, Burglary, Civil Matter, Welfare Concern x 3, Officer Assist x 2, Suspicious Activity, Disturbance, Animal Nuisance 


Newton (Unincorporated Limits): Officer Assist, Welfare Concern, Disturbance


Burkeville: Animal Nuisance, Civil Matter x 3, Officer Assist 


Toledo Bend: Burglary, Disturbance


Jamestown: Harassment  


Farrsville: Civil Matter 


Wiergate: Welfare Concern 


Bleakwood: Reckless Driving, Officer Assist 


Pine Grove: Trespassing 


Buckhorn: Noise Complaint 


Sandjack: Suspicious Activity 


Trout Creek: Disturbance x 2, Officer Assist
