Calls To Service (March 11, 2024, to March 17, 2024):  The Newton County Sheriff’s Office (NCSO) answered 61 calls to service.

Jail Transports:

NCSO had 9 jail transports;

5 to Dr. Appointments, 1 from NCSO to JMH, 1 from Beauregard to JMH, 2 from NCSO to Plane State Jail.

Jail Population:  

We currently have 28 inmates in the following jails;

14 housed in Newton, 8 housed in Beauregard, and 6 housed in Jasper.
