National Weather Service Advisory

A Heat Advisory will be in effect today so please take precautions during outdoor activities: drink plenty of water, wear light colored loose clothes and take frequent breaks in shaded or indoor areas. Meanwhile, the Tropical Depression is located near the south central coast of Cuba and will be moving northwest toward the eastern Gulf of Mexico today. The system is expected to strengthen into a Tropical Storm late tonight into early Sunday morning. No impacts are expected to the local area as the system is expected to remain over the eastern Gulf of Mexico.
