Myrna Lee Leggitt August 3, 1936 - August 20, 2024

Myrna Lee Leggitt, Of Buna Tx, passed away Tuesday August 20, 2024 at home in her sleep.

She was born August 3, 1936 to Thomas K McCord and Leona Meyer McCord in Port Arthur, Tx. She married at 17 yrs of age, becoming a military wife and mother, traveling the world for the next 23 yrs. She returned to Port Arthur, Tx in 1975, after her husband’s retirement to be close to her family and then moved to Buna, Tx in 2005, She loved sewing, needlework and working with her plants both inside and outside of her home.

She is survived by daughters, Paula McBride and husband Larry McBride of Buna, Tx, Renee Jackson and her partner Marc Brooks from Pulaski, TN;  sisters Vernell Johnson, Donna Pullin, and Rhonda Tucker; 8 grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 70 yrs, James William Leggitt I; her son, James Scott Leggitt; grandson James William Leggitt II; parents; 3 sisters, and 5 brothers.
