Missing swimmer has been found

Following a two day search on Toledo Bend in Burkeville, the missing swimmer was found around 9:25 this morning.

Newton County Sheriff Robert Burby said that he is going to do a press release tomorrow to give the family some time. "I will release the name and additional details tomorrow in my press release".

Newton County Sheriff Robert Burby said that at 4:36 pm Saturday a call came in regarding a possible drowning on Toledo Bend at 155 Ridge Crest in Burkeville.

The only information that has been released Is that first responders are on the scene and are searching for a 24-year-old male. He was swimming with a group of people.

The man's identity has not been released. We will update our readers as more information is made available.
