Marshall has a bright future ahead of him helping others as a certified EMT and Fireman
19-year-old Roy Marshall of Jasper has passed his EMT National Certification which is a big deal for anyone, but he only graduated highschool this past fall.
Marshalls dad, also Roy, said his son is working on trying to achieve Fire Fighter EMT. "He's been going to EMT school and Fire Academy while volunteering as a fire fighter with the Jasper Volunteer Fire Department and fighting fires at the same time."
A spokesperson from the Deep East Texas College and Career Academy said today, "I’m sitting here completely emotional, feeling like he’s one of my own. Today, Roy passed his EMT national certification! This young man has shown incredible heart and dedication in pursuing his career. He’s a true testament to how hard work pays off. We couldn’t be happier for you, Roy! Roy is a Jasper High School 2024 graduate. He is also working on his fire certification and is a member of the Jasper Volunteer Fire Dept."
