Last night's storm toppled a large tree, and totaled a car as well as a carport in the process

With all the severe weather we've been having lately, a lot of damage has been done to tree's and property alike.

On West Drew Street in Kirbyville, last night a large tree fell , crushing a carport and damaging one of the two cars that were parked under it for protection.

Kirbyville resident Gavin Firmin said, "It happened about 7 last night. I was watching TV and heard a 'thump'. I walked outside and the tree was on the carport".

Gavin, said that he lives there with his mother Rebecca Firmin. He said that his car, the red one was totaled in the storm. The other car was not damaged.
