Kirbyville woman lost control of her vehicle, overturning during heavy rain
During heavy storms in our area tonight, Jasper County Deputies "rolled-up" on a one-vehicle rollover accident near Roganville.
The accident happened at around 6 pm on Hwy 96 just South of Cr 441.
The Department of Public Safety Media Sergeant Shana Clark said, "The preliminary crash investigation indicates that at approximately 6:01 p.m., a Chevrolet SUV was traveling north. It is reported that the driver was traveling at a speed which was unsafe during a period of heavy rain and hydroplaned into the east ditch where the SUV overturned".
The driver, identified as 40-year-old Rene Lynch of Kirbyville, was not injured.
