Kirbyville photographer stands to win big with breathtaking photo

65-year-old Debbie Durham of Kirbyville, traveled the New England states with her children two years ago. During that trip, Debbie captured a breathtaking photo of the Fall foliage in Strykersville, New York. It’s a small community, friendly and known for its annual Fireman’s Carnival.

Now, two years later, that shot was entered into a nationwide photography contest. Debbie said that the image is doing quite well, but she could use some local support in the form of votes.

Debbie said, "It is a nationwide contest and is open to everyone to vote. It would be great to have someone from Kirbyville have recognition on a National level. My photo has advanced to the 4th Round. It placed 2nd in the first and second round and placed 1st in the third round. As of right now it is still in 1st place."

Debbie stands to win a nice pocket of cash. The prize is $10,000.00. She said that she has enlisted her family and friends from all over the U.S. to vote. Also, each person is allowed to vote once a day, giving multiple chances to vote.
