Kirbyville Baseball player making a name for himself
22-year-old Tyler Brown of Kirbyville has worked hard and made a name for himself in the world of Baseball. His career started during four successful years in high school Baseball at Kirbyville until he graduated in 2019. He even played for Kirbyville Baseball the year they went to the state playoffs.
After High School, Tyler was recruited as a pitcher at Panola Jr. College and played for the Panola Ponies for 3 years until he graduated with his Associate's degree.
After he graduated from Panola, Tyler was recruited as a pitcher for the McNeese Cowboys. This is his second year at McNeese University and he is currently a senior there.
Tyler is currently on the "Injured List" at McNeese. Coaches say he is about 80% recovered and they hope he will be back on the mound in a few weeks.
Tyler's parents, Robert and Kim Brown said that they are very proud of their son's accomplishments.
Kim said, "We just wanted to let everyone in the community know how well Tyler has done and also to say how proud we are of him and to show that good things can come out of a small-town school in hopes of letting other players know this can be them".

Robert said regarding his son, "I'm proud of him. He's a hard worker and has overcome a lot of adversity throughout his Baseball career and it has made him a stronger young man. I am proud to call him my son".
When asked about Tyler's plans for the future his parents said that once he leaves McNeese, he plans on coming home. Robert said with a slight laugh, "He plans on going fishing" then added, "I don't know yet. He's got so many opportunities. Tyler has talked about working for a Guide Service on Lake Sam Rayburn after he graduates from McNeese this year. He did that before in between seasons. He also has talked about going to school to become a lineman."
ETB believes that regardless of Tyler's plan, it will be done with the excellence he has shown in everything he has done thus far.
