Kaleb Mitchell Smith of Kirbyville dies at age 28

Kaleb Mitchell Smith, 28 of Kirbyville passed away Saturday, February 3, 2024.

Funeral service will be 2 pm Saturday, February 10, 2024 at Erin Baptist Church with burial at Erin Cemetery.  Visitation will begin at 12 pm prior to service. 

Born November 2, 1995 to Mitch and Theresa Smith in Beaumont, Tx, Kaleb was a lifelong resident of Kirbyville and he worked as a welder.  To know Kaleb was to love him.  He had a smile that would light any room and was loved by so many.  He was a cowboy to the end that loved roping with his daddy and riding.  He loved watching his “little” brother, Wyatt play football and singing karaoke with his buddies. He was most excited about becoming a daddy and was anxiously awaiting baby Hazel Kay's arrival. 

He is survived by his parents, Mitch and Theresa Smith; wife, Whitney George; daughter on the way, Hazel Kay; brothers, Trent Smith and Cassity, Wyatt Smith, Christian Smith; grandparents, Kay Morgan, Ann Smith; Aunts and Uncles, Mike Smith and Missy, Scott Smith and Letisia, Craig Smith and Lenell, Ricky Kroner and Carol; numerous cousins.  

He was preceded in death by grandfathers, Clyde Morgan and Ted Smith.
