Jury trial begins today for accused armed robbery suspect Anthony Riley

Jasper County District Attorney Ann Pickle said that the jury trial of the State of Texas versus Anthony Riley will begin today.

As we reported last year, the then 58-year Oklahoma man entered the Family Dollar, in Kirbyville and approached the cashier with a large knife and demanded money. Riley then fled on foot but was captured within nine minutes of the crime.

Riley was charged with Aggravated Robbery and Evading Arrest Detention.
