Judges Allen and Cochran announce program offering free welding classes for residents of Jasper and Newton County

We will once again offer an Introduction to Welding course, but we’ve enhanced the maritime class so that students that complete it will obtain actual credentials and certifications.

The only requirements for the class are that 1) the students have to be out of high school and 2) the students have to be a current Jasper or Newton County resident.

The upcoming informational session will provide detailed information about both classes (eg schedule, time, etc.), so attendance is strongly encouraged.

Venture Global covers the cost for the entire class (ie. books, fees, tuition, equipment, etc.), so the only responsibility that falls on the students is just showing up and taking advantage of a free opportunity to create more value for themselves to obtain family-sustaining employment.
