Jasper woman seriously injured in a one-vehicle roll over accident this afternoon

At 3:30 pm Wednesday afternoon, Jasper Volunteer Fire Department, The Department of Public Safety, and Jasper County Sheriffs Department were called out to a single-vehicle crash on Farm-to-Market Road 2800, just west of Jasper.

DPS Media Sergeant Shana Clark said, "The preliminary crash investigation indicates that at approximately 3:30 p.m., a 2008 Dodge Ram pickup was traveling west. It is reported that the driver traveled off of the road to the right, over corrected back to the left, which caused the pickup to travel into a side skid and overturn multiple times."

The driver was identified as 55-year-old Latasha David of Jasper. She was transported by Jasper EMS to St. Luke’s Hospital for treatment of serious, but non-life-threatening injuries. Her passenger, 59-year-old Thomas David, was transported to Jasper Memorial Hospital by Jasper EMS for treatment of minor injuries.
