Jasper woman rolled her car while intoxicated

The Texas Department of Public Safety arrested a Jasper woman following a single-vehicle crash on Recreational Road 255, near Twin Dikes, Monday, October 16.

The preliminary investigation indicates that at 2:24 p.m., a 2010 Hyundai Santa Fe was traveling east. It is reported that the driver was intoxicated and failed to negotiate a curve properly. The Hyundai was driven into the north ditch, where it struck a tree. The driver left the scene and was located a short time later.

The driver, identified as 46-year-old Shiloh Pippenger of Jasper, was not injured. Pippenger was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor offense.
