Jasper narcotics raid netted arrest and a large amount of drugs

On Thursday, November 9, Detectives with the Narcotics Division of the Jasper Police along with Deputies from the Jasper Sheriff's Office Narcotics Division, and patrol officers from Jasper PD, arrived at 1700 S. Wheeler in Jasper at the Sunrise Inn about a lengthy investigation into the distribution of large amounts of methamphetamine within the City of Jasper and Jasper County.
After probable cause was obtained a search of a motel room was conducted and a large amount of methamphetamine was located along with materials utilized for distribution. Also located in the motel room
was a replica Glock handgun and other paraphernalia.
John Dereck Bean was arrested for Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1 > 4
grams < 200 grams in a Drug-Free Zone, a 1st Degree Felony.
