Jasper man killed in motorcycle accident in Liberty

The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Troopers investigated a fatal crash on U.S. Highway 90, near Farm-to-Market Road 1009, that occurred Thursday, August 1, 2024.

The preliminary crash investigation indicates that at approximately 9:14 p.m., a 2014 Chevrolet Silverado pickup was traveling west on U.S. 90, while a 2008 Harley Davidson motorcycle was traveling east. It is reported that the driver of the Chevrolet turned in front of the motorcycle as he attempted to cross over on to F.M. 1009 to travel south.

The driver of the Chevrolet, identified as 69-year-old Edmond Henderson of Devers, was not injured.

The driver of the Harley Davidson, identified as 33-year-old James Carroll of Jasper, was transported to St. Elizabeth Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
