Jasper Junior High Band Earns Top Ratings at UIL Contest

The Jasper Junior High Bulldog Band hit a high note at the UIL Concert and Sight-Reading Contest at Silsbee High School, earning the highest possible rating from every judge.
Under the direction of Steven Courville and Lance Byers, the band impressed with straight 1s—the top score on UIL’s 1-to-5 scale. Jasper ISD praised the students and staff, stating, “We appreciate the hard work put in by these students and their teachers, as well as the support from parents and JISD staff!”
This achievement showcases the band’s dedication and the strong support from their school and community. Congratulations, JJHS Bulldog Band!
