Jasper Independent School District is proud to welcome Dr. Josh Hadnot as the district’s very first Director of Safety and Security.

A 2006 graduate of Jasper High School, Dr. Hadnot brings an impressive blend of education, leadership, and law enforcement experience to this new role. He holds a Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice Administration, a Master’s in Administration of Justice and Security, and a Doctorate in Management with a focus in Organizational Leadership. He also holds a Graduate Certificate in Public Management and is a certified Texas Master Peace Officer with over 7,000 hours of training.

Dr. Hadnot’s journey into law enforcement began with the Newton County Sheriff’s Office shortly after high school. He later graduated from the Angelina Police Academy in 2009 and spent over a decade with the Jasper Police Department, rising through the ranks from Patrolman to Lieutenant. His background includes managing every division within the department and building collaborative relationships across County, State, and Federal agencies.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Dr. Hadnot is deeply rooted in the Jasper community. He’s served on the JISD Board of Trustees and contributed his time to local organizations such as Jasper County C.A.S.A. and the Jasper & Lake Sam Rayburn Chamber of Commerce.

Outside of work, Dr. Hadnot enjoys mentoring doctoral students, playing guitar, golfing, and spending time outdoors. He and his wife Taylor are active worship leaders at Harvest Church and stay busy with their five children—Jaidyn, Amelia, Grady, Parker, and Noah—all of whom are involved in JISD academic and athletic events.

As Director of Safety and Security, Dr. Hadnot plans to focus on proactive, community-based policing, integrated technology, and a culture of vigilance across all Jasper ISD campuses.
