Jasper County, US Marshals, and DPS serve felony warrant on fugitive

On March 6, 2025, at approximately 3:30 PM, Sheriff Chuck Havard and several of his deputies, along with the US Marshal Fugitive Task Force and DPS responded to County Road 22 off of FM 255 in north Jasper County attempting to locate a wanted fugitive.

After several days of surveillance, Damon Mitchell Odom, 53, of Jasper was apprehended. The warrant was issued by Jasper County for Felony Failure to Appear/ Possession of a Controlled Substance, issued on May 7th, 2024.


Mr Odom was brought to the Jasper County Jail.


Mr. Odom is innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
