Jasper County Tax Assessor, Bobby Biscamp has passed at the age of 73
73-year-old Bobby Wayne Biscamp of Jasper, died on Friday, February 2 at Harbor Hospice in Jasper surrounded by his caring family.
Biscamp was a longtime resident in both Burkeville and Jasper and was a member of Beech Grove Baptist.
Biscamp served as Jasper County Tax Assessor/Collector for more than 20 years. It is said that he enjoyed watching old western movies, especially Gunsmoke, and his favorite sitcom Andy Griffith. According to the obituary, Biscamp enjoyed playing Forty Two and spending time with the Golden Heirs at Beech Grove Baptist Church. Most of all, Bobby had an unconditional love for his family, friends and Jasper County.
Services will be held at Beech Grove Baptist Church in the Beech Grove Community in Jasper, with visitation beginning at 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. before the service. Graveside services will be 3:00 p.m. at Ford Cemetery in Newton.
Bobby is survived by his wife of thirty-two years, Teresa Biscamp of Jasper, TX; son, Jason Dickerson and wife Lora Lee of Georgetown, TX; daughters, Meagan Biscamp and partner Kim and Casey Wilson and husband Van of Tomball, TX; brothers, Kenneth Biscamp of Evans, La., Gary Biscamp of Evans, La. and Ricky Hooks and wife Kris of Georgetown, TX; sisters, Glenda Christopher and husband David of Fort Worth, TX and Kathy Garza and husband Val of Richmond, TX; grandchildren, Emma White and husband Drew, Jack Wilson, Sam Dickerson, and Grady Dickerson.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jeff Biscamp; mother, Jimmie Lee Love and sister, Linda Parsons.
