Jasper County Sheriff's Deputy makes Sunday evening arrest for suspected methamphetamines
On January 12th, 2025, at approximately 3:30 p.m., the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office received a call regarding a trespasser in Buna on county road # 754. A Jasper County Sheriff’s Deputy arrived and discovered the suspect had already fled the scene.
A short time later, the Deputy located the suspect riding a bicycle on County Road # 726. The suspect was stopped and during his investigation, a clear-like substance was found on the suspect. The substance was believed to be methamphetamines.
The suspect was identified as Courtney Lisenby, 34, of Buna. She was arrested and placed in the Jasper County Jail and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, SJF.
