Jasper County Sheriff’s Deputy arrests two for drugs on Hwy. 190


On February 15, 2025, at approximately 6:50 PM, a Jasper County Sheriff’s Deputy made a traffic stop for expired registration on Highway 190 in Jasper.
After stopping the vehicle, the deputy identified the driver as being Jerad Kyle Edwards- Green, 28, of Silsbee and a passenger was identified as Cody Allen Mick, 38, of Jasper. There was also an eight-year-old juvenile in the vehicle.
After speaking with the driver and passenger, the deputy suspected criminal activity and obtained consent to search the vehicle. The deputy located two bags of a crystal-like substance believed to be methamphetamines inside the vehicle.
Edwards- Green and Mick denied any knowledge of the substance. Both were arrested and transported to Jasper County Jail and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance (F3) and Endangering a Child (F2). The child was released to a responsible family member.
