In addition to his many years of law enforcement experience, he also brings a high level of management and leadership experience to JCSO. Sheriff-Elect Havard stated, “He will oversee both the Patrol and Criminal Investigation Divisions; however, the buck always stops with me. Steve is an honorable man of the highest integrity and will be an asset to Jasper County.” Sheriff-Elect Havard went on to say, “Steve is one of the most respected lawmen in Southeast Texas and we are proud to have him on our team.”

Steve states, “I appreciate the confidence Sheriff-Elect Havard has shown in me and I look forward to serving the citizens of Jasper County. My number one priority will be to see the Sheriff-Elect’s mission implemented and carried out and to make Jasper County a safe place to live, work, worship and play. I am looking forward to working with the hardworking men and women that are there and providing an atmosphere of teamwork and leadership.”
