Jasper County needs your help solving a crime
On Wednesday, October 9, 2024, the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to Eastex Federal Credit Union on FM 105 in Evadale, Texas in reference to a theft. Upon arrival, it was found that the ATM had been damaged and surveillance footage showed that at approximately 3:00AM this morning, two suspects driving a white KHGY 88.5 FM white van stolen out of Silsbee, Texas arrived at the ATM. The suspects, dressed in all black with gloves and masks use a large crowbar to pry into the ATM causing severe damage and rendering the ATM out of service. After several unsuccessful attempts to access the stored funds, the suspects left travelling towards Vidor in the stolen van. On Thursday October 10, 2024 a Crime Stoppers of Southeast Texas tip lead to the location of the stolen van. The van was found in Woodville Texas a little after 1:00pm. More video has been provided showing a Hyundai Sonata pulling up and a person exiting the passenger rear of the vehicle. We need help to locate the owner of the Hyundai Sonata and the person who exited the vehicle.
