Jasper County nabs two during Fugitive Apprehension Operation: suspected stolen property recovered

Jasper County Sheriff’s Office arrests two during Fugitive Apprehension Operation, suspected stolen property discovered.

The Jasper County Sheriff’s Office conducted a Fugitive Apprehension Operation in north Jasper County on January 13th, 2025 at approximately 3:00 pm. The target subject, John Christopher Kellum, 52, of Jasper, was located at 490 County Road 247 and placed under arrest for a Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance warrant. During the operation, it was also discovered that Jonathan Breece Dalton, 33, of Jasper, was wanted for traffic warrants out of Jasper Police Department. He was also placed under arrest. Both subjects were transported to the Jasper County Jail.

During the arrest, a low-boy trailer and an ATV were seized due to having altered/obliterated VIN numbers. This investigation is still pending.
