Jasper County makes drug and weapon arrest in Buna

On February 6, 2025, at 12:36 a.m., a Jasper County Sheriff’s Deputy stopped a black 2019 Ford F250 at the intersection of US 96 and Joe Davis Loop in Buna. The vehicle was stopped for an equipment violation.

The driver was identified as Daniel Standley, 31, of Pollock, Texas.

A consent to search of his vehicle was obtained and the deputy located a crystal like substance believed to be methamphetamines and a loaded Glock handgun. Mr. Standley was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance (F3) and Unlawfully Carrying a Weapon (MA). He was arrested and brought to the Jasper County Jail.
Mr. Standley is innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
