On Friday, March 14, Sgt. Chris Wade began an investigation into a theft that occurred on County Road 190. During the course of the investigation, it was alleged that 38-year-old Jacoby Stephenson of Jasper obtained property that he did not have permission to take and sold it to another individual.
The property was located and a warrant was issued for Stephenson. He was arrested earlier today at his residence and booked into the Jasper County Jail for Theft of Property which is a Class A Misdemeanor. Also, Stephenson is currently on probation for Felony- Possession of a Controlled Substance.
Jasper County Sheriff Chuck Havard wants to remind the public that Stephenson is innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
Sheriff Chuck Havard and his staff are committed to combatting criminal activity in Jasper County and JCSO will do everything possible to put people in jail when they take things that don’t belong to them.
