Jasper County Deputy arrested theft suspect and finds dangerous drugs at Rayburn

On February 1, 2025, Sergeant Chris Wade was dispatched to the Dollar General located at 3535 Sam Rayburn Parkway for a theft in progress. Sergeant Wade arrived and the manager advised that a female was inside the store and was witnessed on video surveillance attempting to steal items.


Sergeant Wade made contact with the suspect and she was identified as Amber Mauceli, 33, of Woodville.


During the conversation, the suspect admitted that she had intentions of stealing the items that she had concealed on her person. Consent was given to search the vehicle that Ms. Mauceli was riding in. A glass pipe with methamphetamine residue, a Ziploc bag containing a marijuana residue was located in Amber‘s backpack and dangerous drugs were found.


She was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Jail and charged with class C theft, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of a Dangerous Drug. Ms. Mauceli is innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
