Jasper, TX Despite what people see on Facebook, the Jasper County Jail is not the “Havard Hilton”. However, on days like today we do try and feed our inmates the best we can. A huge thank you to the Jasper County Cowboy Church for providing lunch for our entire inmate population today. It was great and our inmates enjoyed. I ate Easter lunch with them and I can assure you it was delicious. Thank you to Brother Chet and his crew. Their generosity takes some of the burden off of the taxpayers of Jasper County and we appreciate it.

I want to sincerely thank our Sheriff’s Office employees for making the holidays as best as they can for the men and women who are incarcerated. Our employees sacrifice a lot for the people of Jasper County and I couldn’t be more proud of them. Our Jail Captain, Joe Pomponio, even came in yesterday on his day off and prepared 10 briskets for our inmates’ Easter dinner this evening. (All of which were donated by members of our community).

I hope everyone has a blessed and safe Easter.
