Jasper County Commissioners Court

The Jasper County Commissioners Court met in a Special Session on Friday, October 27, 2023, and covered the following agenda items:

First, the Court renewed Jasper County’s declaration of disaster and countywide restriction on outdoor burning. The Court noted that Jasper County had not received any substantial rainfall during the past week and that no precipitation was expected in the near future.

Next, the Court voted to approve the interlocal agreement renewal between Jasper County and the Southeast Texas Auto Theft Task Force for law enforcement support in investigating stolen vehicle cases. The Southeast Texas Auto Theft Task Force is comprised of law enforcement agencies working together from Jasper, Jefferson, Hardin, and Orange Counties.

In other business, the Court voted to cast ballots on behalf of Jasper County for the upcoming Jasper C.A.D. board membership term.

Concluding business, the Court voted to authorize Precinct 2 Commissioner Kevin Holloway to acquire a John Deere tractor and side boom mower for county road right-of-way maintenance operations for $199,694,74 from Bane Equipment out of Tyler, Texas, and to fund it from Precinct 2 Commissioner’s budget utilizing the financial services of the First National Bank of Wichita Falls, Texas.

That covers it for this Court meeting. Have a great week and as always, feel free to give me a call if you need anything my way.

Mark Allen, County Judge

Jasper County, Texas
