Jasper County Chief Deputy Report
Chief Deputy Scott Duncan
January 29, 2024
Deputies recovered some heavy equipment that had been reported stolen out of Harris and McClendon Counties last week after the
owner called and provided the location from a tracking device. A
mini excavator and a Caterpillar Skid Steer were located off
Dusky Lane in Brookeland.
Not long after the recovery, deputies received reports of a 2021
lack dual axle trailer and a Kubota skid steer stolen from a local business in Jasper. A 1996 White Ford F250 was also stolen
from an oil well site around the same time. Investigators are
working on these thefts and any potential connections between
them.
The Charles E. Gee Memorial Fire Training Facility was
officially dedicated this weekend with a large showing of
support from leaders and community members. This facility
provides an adequate and professional place for firefighters to
train and improve their knowledge and skills. It also provides
fire academy students with realistic training opportunities as
they pursue a career in emergency response. Thank you to all who
put in countless hours of work to provide this much needed
facility.
We have 120 in the jail this morning. If you need us, call!
