Jasper County Chief Deputy Report
By Jasper County Chief Deputy Scott Duncan
January 2, 2024
I hope you all rang in the New Year safe and healthy!
Call volumes increased over the holidays, mostly noise complaints and
reckless drivers.
We have had a few animal complaints lately. Please try and keep
your animals on your property and provide them with the proper
food and shelter.
We have renewed our Memorandum of Understanding with Spindletop
for 2024, and we are grateful for the benefits this continued
partnership provides our citizens.
We are investigating a burglary that occurred on FM 2246 on
12/26/23. The homeowner had cameras on the property and was able
to provide us with photographs of the suspects, who stole one of
the cameras from inside the residence.
We received a report of a stolen 2020 Red Kawasaki Mule last
week out of Call, Texas. The Mule was taken out of the homeowner’s barn sometime between 12/26/23 and 12/29/23. This homeowner also had cameras that may have been tampered with during the burglary.
Anyone with information on these crimes is asked to contact our
agency or Crime Stoppers at 409-833-TIPS. Our partnership with
Crime Stoppers is vital in solving cases, and we are thankful to
all citizens who provide information.
We have 126 in jail this morning.
If you need us, call!
