Kirbyville, Tx. On February 25, 2025, at approximately 9:05 a.m., deputies with the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office and the US Marshal Task Force were working an operation trying to locate wanted fugitive Steven Wade Earle, 29, of Kirbyville. A Jasper County Sheriff’s deputy located the suspected vehicle he had been seen in on FM 363 and attempted to initiate a traffic stop. The vehicle failed to stop and a pursuit ensued. Deputies pursued the vehicle up 96 north for a short distance and onto County Road 317. The pursuit ended when the vehicle came upon a bridge that was out of service. The suspects bailed out of the vehicle and a foot pursuit ensued. The deputies captured them and identified him as Mr.Earle and a female passenger was identified as Cheryl Wilson, 37, of Kirbyville. Mr. Earl was wanted on a Parole Violation warrant and a MTRP warrant for Possesion of a Controlled Substance. Ms. Wilson will be charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance. Additionally, Mr. Earle will be charged with at least two additional felonies as a result of the pursuit this morning. They were both brought to the Jasper County Jail.
I want to commend our deputies and the US Marshal task force for their diligence in capturing these two. Mr.Earle and Ms.Wilson have been a constant problem in Jasper County and the Jasper County Jail is right where they belong. Both are innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
We are committed to fighting drugs and criminal activity in our county.
