Jasper County and DPS team up to nab three Buna fugitives

In a coordinated effort Friday, September 1st, the Texas Department of Public Safety, and the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant for wanted fugitives at a home located on Gandy St. in Buna.
When officers arrived, 52-year-old Geoffrey Hogg of Buna was quickly located and arrested on a Felony Failure to Appear for Possession of a Controlled Substance out of Madison County. He was also charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance PG1 <1G because illegal narcotics were found in the residence.
45-year-old Sheryl Battles of Buna was also arrested on a Felony Failure to Appear for Possession of a Controlled Substance out of Madison County as well as a Motion to Revoke Probation on a Criminal Trespass charge out of Hardin County.
While attempting to locate the third fugitive at the property, Officers were able to get some information on her whereabouts and were able to locate 32-year-old Kathryn Childress of Buna at another residence. Childress was arrested for Felony Motion to Adjudicate Guilt on a Possession of Controlled Substance charge out of Jasper County.
All three were transported to the Jasper County Jail without incident.
