iPhone sent crash alert when driver flipped her car Friday night

At 6:59 Friday night Beech Grove Volunteer Fire Department responded to a potential motor vehicle collision reported by an iPhone crash alert on US Highway 190 West near CR 156.

Arriving units found a passenger vehicle upside down in the ditch on the south side of the highway, near the wood line. There was one occupant in the vehicle, the driver. She received only minor injuries.

The accident was investigated by the Texas DPS and the vehicle was removed by Jasper Xxon Towing And Recovery.

BGVFD responded with an engine, brush truck, and 10 firefighters.
