HURRICANE BERYL OUTAGE UPDATE
JNEC restoration crews have restored service to more than 12,289 meters following the destruction caused by Hurricane Beryl early yesterday morning. Crews continue working now to restore service to the remaining 2,953 meters that are without power. The current outages are spread out across much of the service territory in many separate outage locations. Crews are responding to these outages as quickly as possible.
Restoration Timeline - In most cases we will not be able to provide reliable restoration times for any specific location.
JNEC restoration crews are working as quickly and safely as conditions allow to restore power to our members. Crews are still battling much of the heavy work of clearing trees, replacing poles and rebuilding entire sections of line that were damaged in some areas. We are optimistic about progress over the next 48 hours, but it does look like some outages will last several days or longer. Access continues to be difficult in some areas, but crews will continue to make repairs.
Thank you all for your patience and understanding as our linemen battle the elements to restore power! We appreciate you!
Outages by county are as follows:
Angelina – 75
Jasper – 2,327
Newton – 372
