Hazardous wind conditions this week -abstain from burning if at all possible
Kirbyville Volunteer Fire Chief Greg Ellis released the following statement today regarding the high winds we are having.
"There is a possibility of some strong winds the next few days
If you do not have to burn please don’t do it even though we have had some rain the grass and fuels on top will burn! The wet ground makes it hard for us to get brush trucks out in fields if a fire gets out of control and with these winds it can happen quickly".
