Havard selects two additional Investigators for his team
By Sheriff-Elect Chuck Havard
I am proud to announce my intentions to appoint David Lampman as the CID Investigator for Evadale and Herb Kelley as the CID Investigator for Kirbyville.
Investigator David Lampman
Investigator David Lampman will bring 27 years of law enforcement experience to the Jasper County Sheriffs Office. He is currently employed as an Orange County Sheriff’s Deputy and has worked in several capacities during his tenure there. He is a Master Peace Officer and has been a SWAT team member for over 22 years. He has accumulated over 4,100 hours of law enforcement training. He has many years of investigative and supervisory experience and has worked many detailed and complexed investigations. David resides in Evadale and his office will be at the sub-courthouse in Evadale. When he is not working on investigations, he will be in the neighborhoods and in our schools providing a law-enforcement presence. David is not only a top-notch peace officer, he is one of the kindest individuals you will ever meet and he will give you the shirt off of his back. He is a very detailed investigator and I have full confidence that he will do a fantastic job for the citizens of Jasper County.
Investigator Herb Kelley
Investigator Herb Kelley has been with the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office for several years. He currently is a criminal investigator for JCSO and will remain in that capacity. Investigator Kelley has 15 years of law enforcement experience and has accumulated over 2,000 hours of law enforcement training. Additionally, Herb has been the Newton Volunteer Fire Department Fire Chief for 13 years. He will be assigned to Kirbyville and his office will be at the sub-courthouse. Herb has done a good job for the citizens of Jasper County for many years and I have complete confidence that he will continue to do a great job. He is a hard worker and a good investigator and I value his many years of service to Jasper County.
I want to thank these two men for accepting the responsibility of these vital positions and the sacrifices they will be making for Jasper County. I will be making some more announcements in the coming weeks regarding more investigative resources that will be assigned to the north end of our county. Our investigators will be assigned throughout our county so that they are accessible to the people of Jasper County at anytime.
