Havard announced two new appointees

Jasper County Sheriff-Elect Chuck Havard

I am proud to announce my intentions to have Tammy Owens as the Telecommunications Operation Supervisor and Patrick Erath will be the Assistant Telecommunications Operation Supervisor for the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office on January 1, 2025. 

Tammy Owens

Tammy Owens has over 12 years experience as a Police Telecommunications Operator. She has spent the last 10 years as a JCSO operator and was with the Newton County Sheriff’s Office prior to her tenure with Jasper S.O.  Additionally, she has over 500 hours of police dispatcher training and over 23 years jail experience. She holds a Master Telecommunication License and holds several other certifications. She is currently the Telecommunications Supervisor at JCS0 and will remain a that capacity. 

Patrick Erath

Patrick Erath will be the Assistant Telecommunications Operation Supervisor. Patrick has over 10 years of experience in Emergency Communication Services and currently holds an advanced Telecommunication license. He has accumulated over 370 hours over training. He holds several other certifications and is currently employed at JCSO as the assistant supervisor in dispatch a position he will remain in. 

Jasper County is blessed to have 8 top-notch telecommunication operators and their expertise will be invaluable to the success of JCSO. These operators perform one of the most stressful and demanding jobs in modern day law enforcement. They are vital to law-enforcement and the community and are often times the most worked and underpaid. My hat is off to the men and women of that division and I look forward to working with these professionals. Thank you for what you do and will continue to do for Jasper County.
